How does the component?
Diazepam, a benzodiazepine, belongs to the group of sleeping pills and tranquilizers, and is also used to treat seizures. Diazepam enhances the action of a transmitter substance (gamma-aminobutyric acid) in the brain, which dampens brain activity. This drug affects the anxiolytic and calming but also anti-spasmodic and muscle relaxant and can thus, even with severe cramps, such as epileptic seizures or febrile seizures are applied.

To soothe and relieve anxiety before surgery or investigations

Warnings!
This medicine may be used as needed, the ability to react as needed, so that the ability to have an active participation in the drive or operate machinery. This applies even more in combination with alcohol.
The long-term and high doses of this medicine may lead to dependence. It is stopped suddenly, withdrawal symptoms occur with insomnia, restlessness, anxiety, tremors, sweating, and the risk of brain seizures.
When the drug is not suitable for you (contraindications)?
Acute increase of intraocular pressure (glaucoma)
Known hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines
Disease of the nerves, which expresses itself in movement disorders (ataxia)
Abnormal muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis)
Drugs, drug and alcohol dependency
Severe hepatic dysfunction
Caution with impaired respiratory function
Pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy, the drug should not be used as possible, unless your doctor deems it necessary.
During lactation the drug should not be used.
Side effects

Hypersensitivity reaction to an ingredient

Interactions
The effect of other sedative and fatigue-producing drugs and alcohol is increased. Diazepam also enhances the effect of pain medication and muscle relaxant drugs.
The effect of the agents on the cardiovascular system interact (antihypertensive agents, beta blockers) and antiplatelet drugs can be influenced in unpredictable ways. The effect of diazepam is reinforced by certain gastric acid inhibitors (cimetidine).
